General Opportunities in the UK
RIPA International currently seeks experienced specialists/practitioners to act as Director of Studies, consultants and guest contributors for a range of senior executive seminars, workshops, training and consulting assignments, programme development and delivery held in London (and overseas) in the following areas:
- Senior public sector leadership and management development
- Institutional and organisational development (particularly with reference to EU institutions and ideally with developing country experience)
- Governance and Public Administration Reform (PAR) – with a focus on the machinery of government, public sector modernisation (transformation and change programmes especially) and service delivery
- Policy formulation and implementation at national level (EU and developing country experience highly desirable)
- Judicial Administration and Case Management (justice reform more broadly – especially where individuals have experience in diverse jurisdictions)
- Parliamentary Administration and Reform (particularly with reference to international experience/exposure)
- Legislative drafting and the legislative process (with international experience/exposure highly desirable
- International Public Finance Management (PFM)
- Senior-level M&E experience
- Gender Mainstreaming
- Fragile States, Conflict Resolution
Desirable Competencies/Experience
- A minimum of 5-8 years’ demonstrable professional management and leadership experience (equivalent to at least Grade 7 and above in the UK Civil Service) gained in a UK/European entity
- A demonstrable understanding of public sector management issues and approaches in the specified technical areas (more than one area would be desirable though not essential)
- Experience or exposure to designing, delivering and presenting seminars and/or workshops, preferably to culturally diverse audiences, is highly desirable
- Experience advising EU governments and institutions and those identified as transitional and developing economy countries
