Federal Board of Revenue, Pakistan

In November 2011 RIPA International delivered a customised Leadership training programme for senior managers from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan. 
 
 
In recent years the FBR has been undergoing a comprehensive programme of tax administration reforms aimed at introducing modern tax administration practices into the organisation. As a result of these reforms the FBR identified a need to train officers from across the organisation in management and leadership topics and RIPA International was mandated to deliver training in London to a total of 50 participants. This combines both theoretical and practical elements, and involves site visits to various UK government departments.

The training programme aims to fit with the overall capacity building strategy of the FBR and to develop the capabilities of FBR management staff in order that they are better equipped to lead the organisation and implement the necessary tax administration reforms taking place in Pakistan. The main aspects of the programme include the need for high performing teams and how to develop high performance within the FBR, how to develop staff, and the skills required as a leader for effective communication.
