Ghana Judicial Service, Ghana

Following support from the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) to create a Commercial Law Court, RIPA International designed and delivered a bespoke training solution to the Ghana Judicial Service. The Judicial Service enlisted RIPA International to provide the UK element of an International study programme that included visits to Denmark, Uganda and Tanzania.

During this programme RIPA International provided specialist training which included field visits to the Royal Courts of Justice and other leading institutes involved in UK commercial law Court practice.

Specifically the training related to effective administration and case management of this important component of civil law, with a focus on Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Enforcement.

The course was attended by the Lord Chief Justice himself supported by eight High Court judges and two Senior Administrators delegated with the task of establishing the Ghanaian Commercial Court. A special Inns of Court Dinner was hosted during the programme, by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn to mark the occasion of the Chief Justice's visit to the UK.
