RIPA International were approached to provide a contextually-driven programme focusing on recent Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) initiatives in the UK, taking on board the delegation’s assessment and understanding obtained from the previous site visits to various UK Government departments.

For this programme, RIPA Internationals focus was to offer a bespoke course for attendees who were already informed and motivated to learn more about RIA and better policy making.

Areas of study included:
  • Organising RIA in the policy process: Oversight and quality control
  • Using RIA to reduce regulatory failures: Defining the problem and setting the baseline
  • Basic RIA concepts
  • Choosing the right decision criteria and analytical methods
  • Alternatives to Traditional Regulation
  • How to collect data for RIA
Guest speakers provided tangible learning points of actual practice in the UK across the contemporary RIA landscape, taking into account important stakeholders, not just across Government, but also attend statutory bodies and apex business organisations.

RIPA International is constantly seeking to fulfil our role in assisting with major national government initiatives as part of our mission to continuously support capacity building activities through the provision of bespoke learning and development solutions.
