Developing Effective Environmental Management Systems

Integrating environmental considerations into decision making requires effective data collection which is organised, accurate and easily accessible to policy makers and practitioners. Furthermore mainstreaming environmental considerations into plans, policies and operations requires top level management commitment, a structured environmental management system and knowledge of existing environmental assessment practices.

This workshop will provide practitioners and policy makers with the tools to assess environmental impacts, engage stakeholders, promote environmental mainstreaming and communicate environmental awareness.
