Evidence-Based Policy-Making

Evidence-based policy-making is intended to support better decision-making in the policy process, from formulation to implementation, by putting the best available evidence from research and evaluation at the heart of it.

This workshop systematically considers what constitutes evidence for policy-making purposes, and how robust research evidence can be used to improve policy-making. We appraise different types, notions and sources of evidence to determine their value and contribution to policy-making. Participants will learn about different types of research and evaluation, and how to integrate them with other key factors that influence the policy process.
