Overview:

This programme will assist anyone in the process of procuring goods and/or services and establishing contractual terms for the Award of Tender. The aim is to prepare participants to review existing arrangements and assist in upgrading and continuously improving the procurement and tendering processes of their own organisation.

The programme takes the opportunity to internationally benchmark differing methodologies and approaches in undertaking both of these critical first-stage areas of the contract management ‘cycle.’ The success of the outputs and the
necessary appropriate relationship with contractors is determined at the outset by the quality of the process. By case study and contractor participation, the programme highlights key issues that participants need to fully understand in
ensuring that the procurement and award of tender is effective, efficient and financially sound.

Delegates will be able to expand their knowledge and understanding and be in a better position to recommend, support and influence opportunities to improve procurement and contracting and the award of tenders in their own organisations.
