This course will cover the detailed steps of the full procurement cycle and will cover key principles from the start of the process, through effective tendering documentation, the evaluation process, the legal aspects of award of tender and the management of providers. It will transform the role of your procurement directorate and gain maximum value for money and commercial advantage for your organisation whilst remembering that a well trained procurement audit and supervision function is necessary to understand the regulatory framework and to implement the procurement audit.
We will look at the linkages between procurement strategies and the delivery of corporate objectives. The course will also look at the risks associated with poor procurement practices and the abuse of procurement processes by contractors through cartels, price rings and unfair restrictions on trade.
