Overview:

It is widely accepted that an organisations’ human capital is crucial for building long-term value and building a flexible and agile base to support future organisational growth. The global and competitive nature of the business world has increased the drive for productivity and performance and as a result, employee and organisational learning have come to the forefront as organisations have realised that the ability of an organisation to respond quickly and flexibly to change is largely dependent on the capability of its employees to learn, adapt and evolve.
 
This one-week participative programme will focus on the areas of coaching and mentoring. The aim of this programme will motivate delegates to take workable ideas and plans to enhance or introduce these key areas into the organisation.


Learning objective
You will be able to:
  • Apply a process for one-to-one coaching in your organisation
  • Show plans to introduce a coaching and mentoring programme
  • Produce a mentoring training programme for mentors and mentees
  • Benefit through visits to external organisations that have implemented a coaching and or a mentoring programme successfully
  • Facilitate your learning through case studies, peer coaching, visits and self managed learning

Course content
  • A reflection on where your organisation is in relation to a coaching and mentoring culture
  • Positioning of coaching/mentoring within the organisation
  • Identification of skills and knowledge using a range of tools and techniques for coaching on a one-to-one basis
  • Introduction/co-ordination of a potential coaching programme for the organisation
  • A mentoring framework for the organisation to consider
  • Structuring a mentor and mentee training programme for the organisation to potentially implement
