Overview:

In the public sector, Information Communication Technology (ICT) solutions are much more open to public scrutiny and increasingly, governments are making use of electronic methods to deliver public services. ICT Solutions must therefore be of the highest quality, reliability and security, often requiring rapid delivery coupled with high levels of accessibility.
 
e-Government and information communications technology solutions are vital components of any government or organisation that have the desire to become more effective, efficient and fit for purpose, something that is increasingly recognised throughout the world. Organisations are actively promoting the development of ICT solutions to reduce the administrative burden on business and citizens.
 
This two-week programme aims to address the challenges of integrating ICT solutions into government to improve service delivery and improve transparency and accountability.

  • The development and implementation of a strategy from the perspective of both business users and IS/IT management

  • The role of managing IS/IT to meet business needs and to underpin the successful implementation of e-Government thus contributing to modernisation
