RIPA International's open training programmes are structured to ensure that:

  • All training programmes are directly relevant to participants' needs through the development and implementation of action plans to each individual or small group nominated to attend a course or series of courses at RIPA International.
  • Personal training needs are identified prior to the start of each programme, and our detailed individual plans are adapted to take these into account
  • Programmes include new management skills and innovative approaches to delivering services
  • Our Directors of Studies and guest speakers are experienced leaders of reform and best practice in the UK and internationally including, Directors of Policy, Members of the UK Parliament (MPs), Chief Executives from local government, DFID approved advisors and other UK senior civil servants within public organisations.

Over the years RIPA International has formed relationships with various UK based organisations to make certain that our courses include:

  • Site visits giving delegates practical insights and experiences

  • Guest speakers who are internationally aware and have significant experience across all sectors
  • A supportive learning climate, where delegates can freely discuss and learn from each other.
  • Participative training strategies including case studies, structured discussions and planned reflection encouraging practical and relevant learning.
  • A detailed action plan developed by the delegate with mentoring from the Director of Studies, ready for implementation.
